Summer Success
This summer, I really challenged myself to put my art out there. In front of the public. You know, like public-facing??
Scary…but I did it!
You can find my “Koi Series: Spring Rush” painting this month at the Las Laguna Art Gallery in the 2026 Small Works Big Ideas exhibit.
Although, I couldn’t make it out there to the exhibit, the online showing will be available until September 28, 2026. I’m so honored and happy to be a part of this welcoming gallery.
And then, just this last week I was able to participate in a local community pop-up which was a great test to see how ready I was for a bigger festival in the future.
I learned so much about tax requirements and licensing, tents and how to hang pictures (and how to NOT hang pictures), how much time it takes to prepare and load the car, and unload the car. And then pack up the car and unload the car again.
Most importantly, I learned that my fellow artists and vendors are some of the kindest, most authentic people I have ever met. Everyone was excited to be there to share their passions with the Denver community.
It was quite beautiful, a great challenge…and worth it.
Overall, I’m glad I took the leap.
